Setup & public use

Enable Tools → WebSocket Server Settings in OBS. Connect here, select audio inputs and add scene/source targets. Each link has exactly one audio input and its own visuals. Set your microphone → webcam in one link and Discord → reactive images in another. Both run at once. Existing backups with multiple inputs in one rule require choosing a single input after import.

Set each target's Show Transition → Fade and Hide Transition → Fade in OBS Sources. This panel uses those transitions. “Silent” targets appear when the rule goes quiet, so you can pair talking and idle images.

Only selected scene items change. Keep your Chatting camera outside the targets. Shared groups or nested scenes affect every scene that reuses them; use a separate camera item in each scene for independent control.

Discord audio must be captured as an OBS audio input. Combined Discord audio reacts to anyone talking; separate guests require separate audio captures. This detects volume, not speech. Active OBS audio is required even while the linked image/camera is hidden.

Disable restores original visibility. Stop before closing. Disconnecting can leave the last state. If an assigned input loses its meter during a scene change, its link waits without changing visibility. It resumes automatically when the meter returns. Use Disable to restore original visibility. Scene collection changes stop automation; refresh after edits.

No account, server upload, or external dependencies. Rules save in this browser when storage is available; exported files contain source names and settings, never your password. For a website, offer this HTML as a public download to open locally or in an OBS Custom Browser Dock. A hosted HTTPS controller may be blocked from connecting to local OBS by browser security.
